The Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures provides studies in the bachelor´s study program Russian Language and Literature with a focus on education for the 2nd level of elementary school (3 years) and in the follow-up master´s degree program in Russian Language and Literature for the 2nd level of elementary school (2 years).
The Department of Russian Language and Literature also guarantees the lifelong learning program of Russian Language and Literature for the 2nd level of elementary school.
The Department of Russian Language and Literature, in cooperation with other language departments of the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia, plays a key role in publishing a professional jounal for the theory and practice of reaching foreign languages and Czech as a foreign languages Lingua viva, which has been published since 2005 in the international database ERIH PLUS.
The Department of Russian Language and Literature cooperates with primary and secondary schools in the South Bohemian region. Every year, he now organizes the traditional Russian conversation competition and the Pushkin Memorial - Ars Poetica recitation competition for them.
